I am committed to listening to neighbors and representing Lakewood. I will promote civic engagement by making public meetings and opportunities accessible for all. I will continue to invite input from our neighbors and make sure their experiences are heard and valued. Exercising the value of reciprocal accountability, I am committed to working with you to make sure our needs are met and addressed.
Keeping our families and neighborhoods safe is our top priority. We must work together to ensure our well-being and quality of life is maintained. We’ll explore community based programming that will provide opportunities for our most vulnerable residents and directly address ongoing public safety concerns like traffic/pedestrian safety.
Our local businesses are the backbone of our community. Our small businesses provide valuable services to our community’s residents and they must be supported. I will work to ensure our local Lakewood businesses have the resources they need to succeed in an evolving economy and identify new business opportunities for the community.
Housing is a human right. It should be accessible and affordable and we need to do everything in our capacity to ensure that our community has adequate resources to provide healthy and safe spaces for community residents to reside. I will take the lead in working on this issue by identifying opportunities that have worked in other communities, listening to the concerns of our current residents, and working to identify and secure funding to help support the development of new homes that are needed for our ever growing population.
