Cassandra Chase is a business owner and social entrepreneur. She is the owner and managing director of Chase Consulting Group, a boutique business consulting firm based in Los Angeles, CA. The team provides strategic management, business development, and new media marketing services.  They have worked with media outlets, various celebrities, brands, political figures and tourism boards to create positive messaging and movement building through the use of new media channels and partnerships.

As an advocate for education, leadership, and entrepreneurship, she is the co-founder of Read Lead, a nonprofit organization that provides literacy and leadership training. Through strategic partnerships, the organization implements literacy-based summer programs and a leadership institute focusing on civic, and social entrepreneurial skills. Read Lead currently operates four (4) CDF Freedom School sites throughout Los Angeles County and has launched two sites in Seattle, WA.  The organization has served over 1000 scholars and families and has provided close to 100 jobs for young adults during the summer months.She leverages her expertise to lead Read Lead’s fundraising, strategy, business development and digital image.

Cassandra currently serves as the Coordinator of The Empowerment Congress and has served as founding Chair of the Emerging Civic Leaders Committee, a member of the Executive, Leadership and Education Committees. The Empowerment Congress a distinctive and deliberate national model of civic engagement built on the core principles of participatory democracy, reciprocal accountability, an intentional civility, is a dynamic partnership among neighborhood groups, residents, nonprofit organizations, businesses, religious institutions, and community leaders within the diverse communities and represents over 2 million residents  of Los Angeles County’s Second Supervisorial District.
